To experience victory, we have to…
1. the real
2. on God’s
3.
NOTES:
QUESTIONS FOR FURTHER STUDY
• What’s one situation in life where you realized you were completely
unprepared for what was coming? What happened?
Read Ephesians 6:10-20 and discuss:
• Paul says our struggle is “not against flesh and blood” (v.12). Where
do you most often find yourself treating people as the enemy instead
of recognizing the spiritual battle behind the conflict?
• In the message we talked about Satan’s primary weapon being
deception. What are some common lies the enemy uses to attack
believers today?
• Christ’s victory on the cross is kind of like D-Day in World War II: it
was the decisive turning point even though battles continue. How does
remembering that Christ has already won the decisive victory change
the way we approach spiritual battles?
• Talk about the armor mentioned in Ephesians 6:14–17. Which piece
of armor do you feel you most need to strengthen in your life right now
(truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, or the Word)? Why that
one?
• Paul highlights both the Word of God and prayer in this passage.
How do these two practices help us resist spiritual attack and remain
strong in the Lord?
• Paul repeatedly emphasizes perseverance and prayer for “all the
saints.” What does staying spiritually alert look like in everyday life,
and how can we help each other remain watchful?
• What is the biggest takeaway from this series?
PERSONAL REFLECTION AND APPLICATION
• Take a few minutes this week to prayerfully reflect on these
questions: Where have I been fighting the wrong enemy lately? In
what area of life have I been relying on my own strength instead of the
Lord’s? What would it look like for me to stay spiritually alert in this
season of life? Ask the Lord, “Where do You want me to stand firm this
week?”
• Identify one piece of the armor of God you need to intentionally “put
on” this week.
