QUESTIONS FOR FURTHER STUDY

Read and discuss Matthew 26:17-30 (cf. Mark 14:12-26; Luke 22:7-39; John 13-17):
• Why do you think God used so many object lessons in Scripture? What are some of those object lessons?

• Discuss the significance of the Passover feast. What was its purpose? Why was it so important?
• What are the different elements of a biblical Passover feast? Google it, if needed. Discuss the significance of each element.
• When reading the Gospel’s accounts of the Last Supper within the context of the Passover, how does it bring greater meaning to the actions and words of Jesus?
• Instead of explaining the meaning of the Passover lamb, Jesus identified the bread and wine on the upper room as His own body and blood and commanded the disciples to eat and drink. What did it mean when Jesus pointed to himself as the Passover Lamb?
• What are we signifying when we take communion? How should
we approach it? Why is taking communion with other believers so
important?
• What impacted you most from the message?

PERSONAL APPLICATION

Make remembering a part of your quiet time with God: • Remember what He has done for you in Christ
• Remember when you began your journey with Christ • Remember who you are in Christ

• Remember the change Christ has already made
• Remember what you have to anticipate because of Christ
