QUESTIONS FOR FURTHER STUDY
• How can you discern the difference between God’s call and a random
idea?
Read Joshua 5
• There are three significant things that take place in the first twelve
verses. Why was this part of their preparation?
• Discuss the commander’s response to Joshua’s question. What was
the point he was making? What can we take away from this?
• Why did Joshua respond the way he did when he heard the
commander’s answer? How should we respond to Christ as our
Commander?
• What is something God is calling you to now? What is your biggest
struggle with God’s call?
• Describe how Joshua 5:13-15 can increase our faith and confidence.
• How are your challenges put into perspective when you spend time
thinking about the fact that your friend and savior, Jesus Christ, is the
commander of the army of God and is fighting your challenges for
you?
• What impacted you most from the message?

PERSONAL REFLECTION & APPLICATION
• What is God calling you to right now? What is holding you back?
• Read Isaiah 41:10 and write out what it will look like in the immediate
future to live in light of these promises.
• Pray for God to open your eyes to His presence.
• How would you live if you knew God was present? Live that way
today!
