NOTES:

QUESTIONS FOR FURTHER STUDY

Read Ephesians 2:11-22 and discuss:

• Why is it spiritually healthy to remember where we came from

without living there? How does forgetting our past affect the way we

view others?

• Verse 13 marks a major turning point: “But now in Christ Jesus…”

What has changed for us because of Christ, and how should that

shape our identity today? Which old labels are hardest for you to let go

of?

• Paul says, “He himself (Jesus) is our peace.” How is biblical peace

different from comfort or convenience? Can you share a time when

you experienced peace even though circumstances didn’t improve?

• Jesus broke down the “dividing wall of hostility” and killed hostility

at the cross. What are some modern “walls” that still divide Christians

today? Which ones are most tempting for you personally to rebuild?

• Paul says Jesus created “one new man” out of the two. What does

it mean for your primary identity to be “in Christ” rather than cultural,

political, or personal? How might that change the way you relate to

other believers?

• Paul describes the church as a family, a building, and a temple

where God dwells. How does viewing the church as something God

is actively building change the way we treat one another? What

responsibility does that give us toward fellow believers?

• Read Matthew 16:18. What is your big takeaway?

PERSONAL REFLECTION AND APPLICATION

Reflection: What unnecessary battles am I fighting? Choose unity over

division.

Application: Take a step toward reconciliation, connection, or

hospitality this week.
