NOTES:

QUESTIONS FOR FURTHER STUDY

Read Colossians 3:12-15 and discuss:

• Describe a time when there was conflict between you and another person. How was the conflict resolved? What brought about peace? • Why would Paul say that peace is our calling?
• Contrast the difference between vertical peace with God and horizontal peace with others? Why does vertical peace need to come first?

• What is the difference between keeping the peace and making peace? What does Jesus emphasize in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5)?
• Identify the differences between true repentance and a self-centered “fake” repentance.

• Describe what marks true forgiveness.
• What is necessary for reconciliation? How about restoration? • What was the biggest takeaway from the message?

PERSONAL REFLECTION AND APPLICATION

Meditate on the following verses and write down what God shows you:

Monday: Romans 5:12 and 2 Corinthians 5:21

Tuesday: Colossians 3:12-17
Wednesday: Hebrews 12:14-15
Thursday: Romans 12:18-19

Friday: 2 Corinthians 7:10

Saturday: Matthew 6:9-15

Sunday: Galatians 5:16-26

Who are you fighting with but not praying for?
What are you holding on to that you should be letting go of? This week, begin the journey of release with God. Admit what is keeping you from surrendering it and bring it before God.
