NOTES:

QUESTIONS FOR FURTHER STUDY

Read John 9 and discuss:

• What stands out to you most about this miracle in John 9? Why

do you think John includes so many details about the man’s

conversations after he was healed?

• The disciples asked, “Who sinned?” but Jesus shifted the question to,

“What might God be doing?” When have you seen God use a difficult

or painful situation as a platform for His power in your life or someone

else’s?

• The blind man’s story began when Jesus found him. How did Jesus

first get your attention or “open your eyes”? What undeniable change

have others noticed in you since meeting Christ?

• His understanding of Jesus grew from “the man called Jesus” to

“a prophet.” In what ways has your understanding of who Jesus is

deepened over time? What experiences or challenges have helped

strengthen your faith?

• The man didn’t have all the answers, but he had a story: “One thing

I know…” What’s your “one thing I know” statement? How can sharing

that simple truth cut through arguments or doubts around you?

• The healed man’s boldness cost him acceptance in his community.

Why do you think following Jesus sometimes brings rejection? Have

you ever faced resistance or loss because of your faith?

• When others cast him out, Jesus found him again. How does that

moment show the heart of the gospel? What does it mean to you

personally that Jesus receives those who admit their need?

• What impacted you most from the message?

PERSONAL REFLECTION AND APPLICATION

• Where are you in the “progression of a testimony”? Are you at the

beginning (experiencing Jesus’ grace), growing in conviction, learning

boldness, or resting in assurance?

• This week, intentionally share part of your testimony with one person

who might need hope. You don’t have to explain everything; just tell

your “One thing I know” story. Then pray for that person by name each

day this week.
