QUESTIONS FOR FURTHER STUDY

• Describe what you think are key ingredients to a healthy marriage.

Read Ephesians 5:31-32 and discuss:

• Find the verse Paul is quoting in verse 31. What is the original context? When did God say this? Why is this important?

• How does marriage describe the relationship between Christ and his Church (those who are saved and following him)?

• Read Matthew 22:30, Matthew 12:48-49, Luke 11:27, Mark 10:29-30. What are some key takeaways from these verses? How should this reorder our thinking concerning family and relationships?

• What is the true measure of a successful life? As you read through 1 Corinthians 7, what do we learn about singleness and marriage?

• How can God use both marriage and singleness for His glory?

• What impacted you most from this message?

PERSONAL REFLECTION

Read and reflect on Ephesians 5:31-21 this week.

Reflection: What does it mean to be the bride of Christ? How does that say about me? What are the implications?
