God Did It

February 16, 2025 / Keith Waggoner / Joshua 23

During hard seasons when life hurts, you need to be reminded:

1. God is

2. God is faithful

3. One day, the will tell the story:

NOTES:

QUESTIONS FOR FURTHER STUDY
• What do you find the greatest help to your faith during hard seasons
when life hurts? What are some of the doubts that come in tough
times?
Read Joshua 23:
• Notice how often Joshua reminded them that God had fought for
them. Why is it important to remember that God fights for us? How are
some ways that God has fought for you?
• Why do you think Joshua encouraged them to be careful to love God?
What specific steps can we take to insure that we carefully obey the
commands God has given us?
• What were the key promises that God made to the Israelites in the
book of Joshua, as referenced in this passage? What are some of the
promises you have seen God fulfill in your life?
• Name some promises God has made that you are claiming even
though you haven’t seen the rest of the story.
Read Joshua 12:7-24:
• Why do you think this “scoreboard” is included?
• In recent months, how have you been made aware of God’s help?
How has He kept you from falling? Name the “victories” in Jesus
Christ (who made it possible)?
• Why is the promise of our inheritance, Heaven, so significant today?
• What impacted you most from the message?

PERSONAL REFLECTION & APPLICATION
How can we focus on the size of our God rather than the size of our
problem?
• Create intentional moments of remembrance.
• Capitalize on opportunities to celebrate God’s work in your life.
• Claim the promises of the Word. Commit to memorize one promise
from God’s Word each week.
• Choose to serve God, not in response to what you see, but in
response to His great love and promises to you.
