What are the differences? Parallels? What do you notice about Jesus from the text? Imagine you were at the table. How would you feel hearing Jesus refer to you as a sinner? What is sin? How does it affect the human heart? How has it impacted you? What have you tried to do to fix the problem of evil and sin in your own life? The Good News of the gospel is that Jesus has the solution for sin. What changes should the work of Jesus have in the human heart? Do the people who know you well have a sense that you have been changed by Jesus and that you walk closely with Him? What can you do to practically share your faith with the people in your world? PERSONAL REFLECTION & APPLICATION Reflect on the condition of your heart. Ask God to do an examination and give you the diagnosis. Write down (take inventory) of what God reveals to you. If it’s not clear, discuss with a trusted Christian friend or one who disciples you to determine a next step. Consider how you might tactfully share with someone what Jesus has done in your life.
