Come to Jesus

March 30, 2025 / Keith Waggoner / Mark 10:13-31

THE BIG QUESTION: Is Jesus ?

When we come to Jesus like a child…

1. We come

2. We come

3. We come

NOTES:

QUESTIONS FOR FURTHER STUDY

• What are the “crutches” you lean on in your life—things that provide

security or identity apart from Jesus? How do these crutches affect

your relationship with God? Do they compete with your trust in Him?

Read Mark 10:13-31

• Why do you think the interaction Jesus had with the children and with

the rich, young ruler are back to back? What point was Jesus making

with his disciples?

• Why was the rich man’s question the wrong question? What made

the rich man walk away sorrowful? Why didn’t Jesus run after him?

• Has God asked you for something significant? How did you respond?

What did you learn from the experience?

• Why did Jesus say that the only way to receive the kingdom of God

is to receive it like a child? Provide examples of what it looks like to

come to Jesus as a child.

• Do you follow Jesus as a child or do you feel like you have to earn

your way? Explain why.

• How have you found Jesus to be enough? Share some examples

from your own life.

• What impacted you most from the message?

QUESTIONS FOR PERSONAL REFLECTION & APPLICATION

• If everything was stripped away, what would you reach for—your

crutch or Christ?

• What is one step of surrender or trust you feel God is calling you to

take this week?
