• What are the “crutches” you lean on in your life—things that provide
security or identity apart from Jesus? How do these crutches affect
your relationship with God? Do they compete with your trust in Him?
Read Mark 10:13-31
• Why do you think the interaction Jesus had with the children and with
the rich, young ruler are back to back? What point was Jesus making
with his disciples?
• Why was the rich man’s question the wrong question? What made
the rich man walk away sorrowful? Why didn’t Jesus run after him?
• Has God asked you for something significant? How did you respond?

• Why did Jesus say that the only way to receive the kingdom of God
is to receive it like a child? Provide examples of what it looks like to
