WORTH DYING FOR

July 6, 2025 / Keith Waggoner / Daniel 3

BIG POINT: Godly requires godly .

BIG QUESTION: What are the that guide your life?

If you’re going to stand the test, you must be convinced of…

1. Whose

2. What

3. What

4. Who

NOTES:

QUESTIONS FOR FURTHER STUDY

• Share a time when you felt pressure to go along with something you

knew wasn’t right. How did you respond?

• Honestly assess your motivations: are your decisions influenced

more by external pressures or an internal principle?

Refer to Daniel 3 and discuss:

• The king was fine with the Hebrews worshiping Yahweh—as long as

they also bowed to his idol. In what ways today do we face that same

kind of pressure to “worship God and bow to Babylon”?

• Read Daniel 3:13-18. How did Nebuchadnezzar challenge not just the

men, but God Himself (v. 15)? Why is this significant? What stands out

to you about the way Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego responded to

the king?

• In your own words, what does it mean to have godly convictions?

What are some godly convictions that guide your life?

• There were four convictions mentioned in the message. Which of

these convictions do you personally feel strongest in? Which one do

you need to grow in the most?

• What external pressures are most tempting you to compromise your

convictions right now?

• What was the biggest takeaway from this chapter or the message?

PERSONAL REFLECTION AND APPLICATION

• Identify your core, biblical convictions before you’re in the fire. Write

down at least three biblical convictions that you want to build your life

on. Pray daily that God would strengthen these in your heart so you’re

prepared before the test comes.

• Refuse to bow in “small” ways today. Choose one area this week

where you feel pressured to “blend in” or compromise and intentionally

take a stand for God in that situation. .

• If you’re in the fire, look for Jesus. Each day this week, journal or

pray through how you see His hand sustaining you, strengthening you,

or showing up in unexpected ways. Share a testimony of this with

someone to encourage their faith.
