Three Simple Truths about Light: : Light is only possible if it’s connected to power/fuel. : Light is only good at the correct strength and distance. : Light is only useful when it’s visible & unobstructed. BIG POINT: As we are transformed and begin to live an , Spirit-Filled Life, it becomes visible to others. NOTES: Questions for Further Study: Read Isaiah 42:5-9 & Matthew 5:14-16. What are some phrases that stand out in these passages that challenge you? We defined the Light as the power and presence of God. How has the Light of Christ impacted your life? Light must be connected to a source to function. What does staying connected to God look like in your life right now? Light must be visible and unobstructed to be effective. What are some common obstructions that keep our light from shining, and how can we remove them? How do you see the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5) as evidence of God’s light in someone’s life? Which fruit do you feel God is growing most in you? Light’s strength and distance is a metaphor for our influence. How can we discern the right intensity and approach when sharing our faith? Personal Reflection and Application Reconnect to the Source: Set aside intentional time each day for prayer and Scripture reading to stay connected to God’s sustaining power. Shine Through Action: Choose one tangible way to ‘let your light shine’ (Matthew 5:16)—such as serving someone in need, encouraging a friend, or sharing your story of God’s work in your life.
