QUESTIONS FOR FURTHER STUDY

Discuss Judges 3:12-30:

• What are unusual things in this story that stand out to you? What are some takeaways?
• Why does God so often use unlikely people to do His work? How has God used you? Were you surprised that He did so?

• Describe some of the surprising things God has done in and through you over the years. What does this teach you about God?
• Discuss the tone of this story. How does God respond to human opposition to Him?

• Contrast God’s choosing of His team with how you would choose your team. What does He look for and what should this teach us? • Which part of the message impacted you most?

PERSONAL APPLICATION

Ehud’s sword was the means to defeating Eglon. Read Hebrews 4:12. God’s Word is the sword given to you as a means to defeating the enemy in your own life. It means allowing it to penetrate so that it can do its work. Don’t just find time for the Word, MAKE time.

If you aren’t doing this already, start this week. Go to the Bible app
(or www.bible.com) and start the plan “Rebellion & Rescue”, a 22-day Bible reading/study plan through the book of Judges. Let the Word do
it’s work and live in response to it.
