NOTES:
QUESTIONS FOR FURTHER STUDY
Read Revelation 12 & 13 and discuss:
• What are the parallels between Israel and the Church? How has Israel helped birth the Church? What are the implications?
• Read Revelation 12:7-12 and Ephesians 6:12. What is the danger of being oblivious to the spiritual battle? How can being obsessed and fearful of demonic powers hinder believers?
• Discuss what Revelation 12 and 13 reveal about Satan and how he works. What is a biblical description of who Satan is and what he does?
• How can it be true that at the same time the authority of Christ has been established in heaven, the devil is free to attack God’s people
on earth with great wrath? How do we find comfort in the fact of the establishment of God’s rule in heaven even as we face trials on earth? • Are governments universally corrupted by the beast, or is this
an occasional phenomenon? Why is it so easy to be swayed and influenced more by earthly political powers than by Christ? How should Christians seek to be involved in civil government and affect it positively?
• Discuss how we can overcome Satan (Revelation 12:11). Share your testimony: who I was before Christ; how I came to faith in Christ; how God has changed and is changing me since placing my faith in Christ?
PERSONAL REFLECTION AND APPLICATION
• In what areas do I need to preach the gospel to myself?
• Who can I share my testimony with? Pray for opportunities to do so and take advantage of them this week.
