- When you think about the return of Jesus, how does that make you feel? Is there fear, dread, hope, excitement, a mixture of all of the above? Why do you think you feel the way you do?
- Read the story of the prodigal son in Luke 15. What causes the son to want to return to his Father’s house?
- How does the father react to his son returning home?
- Are you headed in the wrong direction and need to return home? Are you on the way home? Have you arrived? What next step does this picture of God as a loving Father inspire you to take?
Personal Reflection & Application
- To have peace about the return of Jesus requires that we live with Him today. Think about your relationship with Jesus and ask yourself if you have peace about His return.
- Is there evidence in your life of a relationship with Jesus? If so, what?
- Read Galatians 5:21-22. Pray for the fruit of the Spirit to grow in your life and be evident to yourself and those around you.
