What we can learn from God’s response to Habakkuk:

  1. We don’t

  2. God is  

  3. God’s is in sync with His

  4. God’s might not be our choice but they

BIG POINT: We can either and fear what we can’t see or we can and trust what God sees.

QUESTIONS FOR FURTHER STUDY

Read Habakkuk 1:1-11 and discuss:

• If you could, what is something you would change? How would you do it?
• What aspects of life in our contemporary world would fit the description of Habakkuk 1:3–4?

• Have you experienced times of desperately crying out to God, but with no apparent answer? If so, how have you sustained your faith and relationship with God in such times?
• How would you describe Habakkuk’s complaint to God in verses 2-4? • Do you find it hard, or wrong, to ask difficult questions to God? Why or why not?
• Talk about what we can learn from God’s response to Habakkuk in vv. 5-11. What are some key things that stand out to you?
• What are some ways that you can either doubt your doubts or take your doubts to God? Why do you still trust Him even if you don’t see Him at work?
• What was the biggest takeaway from the message?

PERSONAL APPLICATION

• What are some doubts you need to doubt? Identify them this week and take them to God. Compare your doubts to God’s character. Tell God why you are going to trust Him even while you wait.
