QUESTIONS FOR FURTHER STUDY

• What comes to mind first when you hear the phrase: “Jesus is

coming again?” Explain why.

Read Matthew 25:1-13

• What is the context of the verses? See Matthew 24.

• How are the bridesmaids are alike? How are they different?

• What keeps people today from being prepared for Christ’s return?

• Why do you think Jesus emphasizes that His return will be

unexpected? How does that challenge the way we live now?

• The message said, “There is a difference between being introduced

to Jesus and having a relationship with Jesus.” What’s the difference

in your own words?

• What are some signs that someone might have false security in their

faith? How can we lovingly help them recognize it?

Read 1 John 5:1-13 and discuss:

• Explain whether or not we can have assurance of eternal life. If so,

where does this assurance come from?

• How does being a child of God impact the way we see ourselves?

Our assurance? Our readiness?

• How do love and obedience work together in the life of a believer,

according to 1 John 5?

• How can we pray for each other to live with real assurance and faith?
