NOTES:

QUESTIONS FOR FURTHER STUDY

• Read John 1:14-18. What does it practically mean to “see” Jesus as

full of grace and truth in your daily life?

• How can we stay so close to Jesus that the lies of the enemy,

culture, etc. become obvious?

• Read 1 John 1:6-7. Why do you think walking “in the light” requires

transparency and vulnerability?

• What keeps people hiding in the dark—fear, shame, pride, or

something else?

• Read Romans 13:12-14. “Make no provision for the flesh.” What

are the small provisions we often make for temptation? (Examples:

patterns, habits, excuses.)

• What does it look like in real life to “put on Christ”?

• “God has created light to heal, not humiliate.” Do you agree? Why or

why not?

• When has God’s light brought life and clarity to you in a way that

ultimately healed rather than shamed?

• How could this principle be shared with someone who doesn’t

understand it?

PERSONAL REFLECTION AND APPLICATION

• LIGHT FIRST: Before checking your phone, reading news, or

gathering information, spend at least 10 minutes with Jesus and ask:

“Lord, what truth do You want to show me today?”

• PUT ON CHRIST: Identify an area of your life that is weak (or even

sinful) and put on Christ. An example might be a late-night habit, an

unhealthy app, an environment that triggers sin, a justification you

often use, etc. Name it. Remove it. Replace it with one specific way of

“putting on Christ.”

• TELL ONE TRUSTED FRIEND: Walking in the light requires

transparency and honesty. Talk to someone about how your

embracing the Light (the power and presence of God) and putting on

Christ.
